Yankees Tickets – Boosting the Economy

by on February 4, 2009 updated April 19, 2014

It has never been said that the New York Yankees are afraid to spend money. They’ve been leading the league in salary for years and they’ve kept up their image in 2009. Mark Teixeira. C. C. Sabathia and A. J. Burnett: guys like that don’t come cheap. But if baseball has taught us anything it’s that team chemistry is a puzzle. All the pieces have to fit. So far this decade the Yankees haven’t managed to complete the puzzle.

Now it’s a new year and the Yankees are at it again. Can the newest model of pinstripes change the forunes of the MLB‘s most famous franchise. Or will the Steinbrenner dynasty continue to struggle? They’ll still have to contend with those hated Boston Red Sox. And they’ll have to find a way to overcome the newest upsart in the AL East, the Tampa Bay Rays. But hey, with all that money to throw around at least the Yankees are doing their part for the economy.
