World Series tickets mean the Red Sox and The Cardinals will meet beginning Wednesday night and running through a seven-game series that will decide everything in Major League Baseball.
The Red Sox took the AL in Game 6 last night, topping the Detroit Tigers with an epic Shane Victorino grand slam that propelled Boston from a deficit to the biggest show in town. It came after the Tigers seemed to have everything in hand. Leading 2-1 after taking the lead in the sixth inning, Detroit had a very reliable Max Scherzer on the mound. So things were looking good. Scherzer has won 21 games this season, keeping Detroit in the thick of things. Odds were that the Tigers could push this into Game 7. The Boston lineup had a different idea.
Before long the Red Sox had loaded the bases using timely hits and an error. Victorino stood at the plate down 0-2. A few moments later he took a curveball and sent it out into the stands. Now the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals will meet up in the Worl Series and the Tigers and Dodgers will wonder what else they could have done.
World Series tickets will be going fast for this series. Boston especially will be a great place to be as the season unfolds. The Red Sox have pulled off one of those worst to first journeys that we love to see in sports. Coming off of a season filled with controversy and criticism, the Boston Red Sox found the formula to get back on the winning track.
