College football pundits around the country have been saying that the LSU Tigers face their first big test as Virginia Tech comes to Death Valley this week. Judged solely on the results of Week 1, the Hokies may be in for a rough season. Facing a 27 point underdog in East Carolina the Hokies barely managed to pull off a 17-7 win. Granted, the emotional pressures facing Virginia Tech were tremendous. Still, the ground game produced a meager 52 yards rushing.
In order to compete with LSU the Hokies will have to improve drastically. Let’s hope they can. After all they’ve been through the University can use some good news.
