USC Trojans Swamp Buckeyes

by on September 13, 2008 updated September 13, 2008

In what was billed as the game of the week, the USC Trojans put an end to the Buckeyes hopes for another shot at the BCS National Championship. A 35-3 trouncing tends to do that. Ohio State of course will point the absence of Beanie Wells, but realistically even Beanie couldn’t have done much. He doesn’t play defense and defense is where the Buckeyes failed here.

USC quarterback Mark Sanchez threw for four touchdowns, running back Joe McKnight averaged nine yards a pop and well, Ohio State came up wth penaities when they neeeded points. Right now it looks like the USC Trojans will be suiting up for that BCS National Championship Game.
