For 2009, U.S. Open tickets will give the pros another shot at a the real world. By this I mean that pros used to closed clubs and exclusive membership courses will have to deal with Bethpage Black, a course where your average joe can shoot a round for probably less than $100.00.
This is the second visit of the U.S. Open to Bethpage Black, the first coming in 2002. A truly public course, it still isn’t easy to snag a tee time. Some folks will spend the night waiting, others can register by phone after joining a membership program.
Wherever the course, the U.S. Open is still one of the most watched tournaments of the year. 2009 U.S. Open Tickets have been one of the top sellers of the year. Maybe it’s the return of Tiger Woods or maybe it’s just the chance to see the greats of golf on their own turf: A public course.
