The Masters

by on January 3, 2008 updated January 3, 2008

I’m in Georgia at Ft. Benning. The temperature is in the 20′s and the wind is howling. I’m sleeping in a closet with four other guys and all around me are M-16′s and 9MM pistols. Naturally, my thoughts turn toward the coming of April, Augusta, and The Masters. Tough conditions always bring out the best. The question is: Can Tiger Woods bring home another Green Jacket? Oh, how I wish, rather than being in the flour fine sand of Iraq, I was going to be on the greens of Augusta, Masters Tickets in hand, for what I think is going to be a milestone in Tigers career.
