If the Houston Texans want to make their mark in the AFC they’ve got the prime opportunity to do it this weekend. The Indianapolis Colts will be the visiting team. They’re also a team still smarting from a painful loss in the Super Bowl, a failure that has them reeling. The Houston Texans are a team with a lot of hunger, dying to get that first post-season spot. In addition, recent history has begun to swing the pendulum the Texans way. Though Manning and the Colts have been able to beat Houston on a regular basis the last few victories haven’t been easy. As time goes on the Texans have learned to attack the Colts defense with their high powered offense and at least slow down Manning and make him earn points.
It all boils down to how badly Houston wants to make their mark. If they’re willing to go all out they are capable of winning this matchup with the Colts. And if they don’t it’s not the end of their playoff dreams. The road just gets harder.
