Tennessee Titans Tickets Look to an Uncertain Future

by on January 29, 2011 updated January 29, 2011

The Tennessee Titans have just joined the NFL. For 16 years Tennessee spurned the ways of the rest of the league, refusing to join the wave of continual change, and keeping Jeff Fisher on. The Titans were an oddity, an NFL team with continuity.

But Tennessee Titans ticket holders are now faced with the reality of the NFL where the main thing is what have you done for me this last season. More to the point the Titans are displaying signs of being held hostage by the stars on their team, and one star in particular. When Jeff Fisher sat Vince Young it was the beginning of the end. The battle between a head coach who had to look out for the whole team and a star who had to be coddled came to a head.

Unfortunately for the Tennessee Titans, owner Bud Adams has too much love for Vince Young. What’s going to happen now? I foresee a decline in this team, borne of an unstable NFL star with a need to be spoiled and an inability to place team goals before his own. Hopefully, it will work out. But I don’t think so.
