Super Bowl Reward

by on June 19, 2011 updated June 19, 2011

The Green Bay Packers are the only team in the NFL to get back together with their coaches, that privilege the result of having won a Super Bowl. Those of us on the outside are jealous. We’d like to get together and get Super Bowl rings again.

The Packers deserve their reward and hopefully at this time next year there will be a team doing the same thing. In this case, Green Bay went big time gaudy, something that’s now expected. If winning a Super Bowl doesn’t get you some flashy bling, what good is it?

The Packers Super Bowl rings contain hundreds of diamonds, with different aspects of the jewelry representing key milestones on the path to the championship and key moments in Packers history. All told there are 4 Super Bowl diamonds and 13 NFL Championship diamonds. Not bad.

Hopefully the Green Bay Packers will keep their rings on their fingers, unlike the defensive player from the New Orleans Saints who left his Super Bowl ring on the console of his car, then let a valet drive off with it. Not too bright.
