Being an old geezer of 48, I wasn’t exactly thrilled when my wife insisted on heading out to the New Orleans Voodofest to catch the Smashing Pumpkins. Nevertheless, keeping the old lady happy is a priority.
So last Saturday I found myself at the edge of the crowd as the Pumpkins took the stage. To my surprise they put on one heck of a show and they had a lot of songs that even I recognized. And just to prove that I’m not quite ded, we evn managed to work our way up to the front just in time to catch “1979.” If you get a chance to catch Smashing Pumpkins on their current tour I recommend you take it. Even if you’re an old geezer like me.
