In the 2012 season, the reigning Superbowl Champion New York Giants will meet with the New Orleans Saints in MetLife Stadium. This is bound to be a tough, exciting game to watch. Two of the top ten offenses in the NFL last year will definitely be putting up some major points in this game. This matchup will be a guaranteed classic in years to come.
The New York Giants got hot right when they needed to get hot last year. They will most likely make some more noise this year as well. Eli Manning, now being considered an elite quarterback, will look to make the Giants a threat to consider in the NFL, instead of that team that’s always questionable. The dynamic duo of Hakeem Nicks and the rising star Victor Cruz will give the Saints defense something to reckon with.
On the other hand, the New Orleans Saints are looking to show that not even a bounty scandal can stop them. With the Quiet Thunder Marques Colston back, the Saints are trying to show the NFL world that you don’t need a Larry Fitzgerald to win games. Last year, the Saints had the 2nd ranked offense, only behind the Packers. Even though Brees’ contract isn’t official yet, it is most likely to see Drew back in black and gold. This Saints offense has one of the best offensive lines in the league, which could give trouble to the Giants pass rush.
The past two games in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome have been blowouts for the Saints. Drew Brees threw for over 360+ yards and 4 touchdowns each time. The Giants may have had a disadvantage down in the Big Easy, but the Saints will have the disadvantage this time, going to MetLife and the Giants have to be hungry for revenge.
