The Rolling Stones have scheduled concert dates for November and December in both England and the United States and have left it at that. No further shows are currently booked. But as I’ve mentioned in earlier posts it would be very surprising if this didn’t turn out to be the beginnings of another major tour. That viewpoint was hinted at this week by Ron Wood.
Wood and his fellow Rolling Stones were attending the premiere of a Rolling Stones documentary “Crossfire Hurricane” which as being shown at the London Film Festival. Keith Richards was very happy with the reception of the film, calling it “overwhelming. His fellow guitarist Ron Wood gave us a little more, saying that rehearsals for the upcoming shows were going very well and that momentum could keep things going for awhile.
That’s good news for those who are having fits because Stones tickets are all sold out and getting to the concerts would entail travel to either London or Newark. With the chance of the Rolling Stones embarking on a bigger tour, which they haven’t done in five years, concert fans can now hope for the chance of seeing the Stones on their own turf.
