At some point in his career Tom Brady has made just about every NFL fan sick to their stomach. Patriots tickets holders may be excluded from that but the rest of us NFL fans have felt that hollow feeling in our stomachs when Brady gets the ball late in the game and has a chance at a game winning drive.
This week it was Dallas Cowboys fans who needed the dose of Pepto Bismol when Tom Brady lined up his New England Patriots at his own 20 with 2 1/2 minutes left in the game. He proceeded to complete 8 of 9 passes, taking his team the whole 80 yards, ending with an 8-yard pass to Aaron Hernandez for the winning touchdown.
It’s enough to make you sick and it’s a familiar feeling to the rest of the league. Of course, for Patriots fans it’s probably the best feeling in the world to know that Brady is under center when the game is on the line. Maybe Colts fans like that moment also, when Manning is on the field. But for the rest of us it’s time to head for the medicine cabinet.
