Patriots Playoff tickets took a big step yesterday as the Pats clinched their 1st Round bye with a surprisingly narrow 27-24 win over the Miami Dolphins. From here on out it’s a quest for the #1 seed which New England can grab with one more win or a Baltimore loss. That win over Miami though, didn’t come as easily as the Patriots would have hoped. In fact, the Miami Dolphins jumped out to a 17-0 lead before New England got in gear.
So how do things bode for Patriots Playoff tickets? Well, that 1st Round bye is looming pretty large and to be honest the New England Patriots could use the advantage of playing on their home field as they enter the playoffs. This Patriots team is pretty unbalanced, a fact that could lead to problems on the road. The New England Patriots are fine on offense where Tom Brady has put up impressive numbers and the Patriots offense is ranked #2 in the NFL with 424 yards per game. But defensively, the Patriots are vulnerable, having given up over 400 yards per game. That’s plenty of yardage but thankfully the Patriots have managed to keep opponents out of the endzone and end up around the middle of the pack in points yielded at 21.4.
But that’s still a long way from the time that Patriots Playoff tickets meant seeing a stifling defense and a great offense. New England has become particularly tepid when it comes to pass defense, meaning should they meet up with a solid passing team they could find themselves in trouble. But Oh Well, that’s why you’ve got Tom Brady. Needless to say, the fans in New England are getting a little restless. It’s been some years since the Patriots have been in a Super Bowl. Can 2012 Patriots Playoff tickets end that drought? We can only wait and see.Eric Drouant
