The New Orleans Hornets Win It All in the Lottery

Finally, hope has come to the New Orleans area.  With everything from Brees’ contract situation to injuries to the Hornets and the departure of Chris Paul, the New Orleans fan base has something wonderful to look forward to.  The NBA draft lottery occurred not too long ago and it favored New Orleans.  With a 13.7% chance of winning the first overall pick in the NBA draft on June 28, the New Orleans Hornets won their first overall pick since 1991 when the Hornets drafted Larry Johnson.

The unanimous decision as the first overall for any team is the star of the 2012 NCAA Basketball Champions, the Kentucky Wildcats, Anthony Davis.  Davis was simply a beast and a dominant force while at Kentucky, averaging about 14 points, 10 rebounds, and almost 5 blocks per game.  Davis has been labeled as a franchise player and a player that can and most likely will change the course of an NBA franchise for the better.

The Hornets are  lucky not only because they are probably getting Anthony Davis but also because they have the tenth overall pick in one of the NBA’s deepest drafts in years.  This draft includes the top college players that could still be at the tenth overall pick with Kentucky point guard Kendall Marshall, Duke shooting guard Austin Rivers, and North Carolina center Tyler Zeller.

This New Orleans organization has nothing but good fortune and wins in their future.  With the immediate impact of Anthony Davis and another great player this Hornets team could be seen in the playoffs for years to come.  Hornets’ fans, don’t miss out this great opportunity of Anthony Davis and a sure to be another excellent pick at the tenth spot.  Get your Hornets tickets now at Frontrow.com.
