Ohio State Buckeyes Tickets – Vote for Me (and other nonsense)

by on August 4, 2008 updated August 4, 2008

So now you know why Ohio State Buckeyes tickets are so hard to get. It was recently revealed that Ohio state lawmakers have been snapping them up like, well, Ohio State Buckeyes tickets. each esteemed public servant is offered the opportunity to buy four Buckeyes tickets each. Guess how they pay for them? WITH CAMPAIGN FUNDS!!! Nice, ain’t it?

Elsewhere in college football, USC has dismissed one of their prime recruits after he was sentenced to 2 years probation for carrying a gun to his high school. He was then the video star of a feature on YouTube, cursing eloquently and espousing the shooting of other people. His Sunday School teacher has protested.

According to ESPN, a recent coaches poll has them pegging the Georgia Bulldogs as the best team in the country, with USC, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Florida rounding out the Top 5. I can’t disagree but still say the Bulldogs tough SEC schedule will be a major factor in whether or not the appear in the BCS National Championship.

Here in Iraq the great Brett Favre debate goes on. Should he play? Should he retire? I’m actually pretty sick of the whole thing. It seems to me to be self serving nonsense from a man of whom I thought better. If you don’t know what you’re going to do then just don’t say anything. But then again, everyone has a right to change their mind don’t they? Help me out here, Joseph.
