Ohio State Buckeyes tickets could given fans a BCS National Championship run last season but because of sanctions the Buckeyes weren’t going anywhere but home. That all changes in the 2013 college football season. The Buckeyes are running on high octanne fuel and plenty of horsepower this season and the only limit is how far Urban Meyer can take his squad. Which we think could potentially be the top of the college football mountain.
First of all, the Ohio State Buckeyes are pretty much a lock for winning the Big Ten. There are 13 starters overall but most of those (nine) will be on the offensive side of the ball. The good news is that Ohio State will have good leadership under center with Braxton Miller. Miller has had enough time now to absorb the system of Urban Meyer and that should help boost his performance and the Buckeyes chances.
The schedule also favors the Buckeyes because realistically it’s not a tough schedule. Games with non-conference opponents stack up nicely and Ohio State probably won’t be seriously challenged until they hit Michigan. But by that time we expect Urban Meyer to be behind the wheel of a finely tuned machine.
Bottom line for Buckeyes tickets? At the very least a Big ten Championship. Can they make the BCS National Championship? That comes down to how their schedule is perceived. The weakness could hurt them in the polls and in the myriad machinations of the rankings system. But we think they’ve got a shot at it and will at least be in a major bowl. It’s a shame the Buckeyes wasted a perfect season last year but all that is behind them. The 2013 college football season is an open book and it may be the Buckeyes writing their names in the biggest script.
