Jacksonville Jaguars – 2014 Tickets and Preview
The Jacksonville Jaguars have to keep their heads on straight in the 2014 NFL season. As much talk as there is about quick turnarounds, and they do happen, they are also extremely rare. More often you’ll find NFL teams that achieve long term success have been built over a period of three or four seasons. And it usually begins with drafting a quarterback.
The Jaguars have picked up what they see as the quarterback of the future in Blake Bortles, using the 3rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft to land the UCF product. Will Bortles start right away? Probably not. That job currently belongs to Chad Henne, who should know that Bortles is the future. Henne is a decent NFL quarterback despite his 18-32 record over his career. In rebuilding the offense, Gus Bradley signed Toby Gerhart away from Minnesota to replace Jones-Drew, and drafted a pair of young receivers in Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson. To keep Henne clean and improve the run game, Bradley also brought in Zane Beadles to anchor the left side of the offensive line.
The Jacksonville Jaguars 2014 Schedule is going to be a challenge. The early going see the Jags open up in Philadelphia, a tough place to start a season. Washington, a home game with the Colts, and a trip to San Diego round out the first quarter. Jacksonville’s schedule also includes Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, New York, and Baltimore among the highlights.
