Chicago Bears – 2014 Tickets and Preview
The new Monsters of the Midway are on offense and the fans that enjoy Chicago Bears tickets are going to have to get used to it. This is a Bears team that was agonizingly close to winning the AFC North last season and the fact that didn’t can be pinned directly on injuries to the defense. The 2014 NFL season brings almost everyone back healthy and that may be enough to make Bears tickets the class of the AFC North.
Jay Cutler has been maligned in the past but there’s little doubt that he thrived under the offensive scheme of Marc Trestman. Cutler should be better with a season under his belt. Of course, he still has Brandon Marshall, a dominant receiver, and Matt Forte, a versatile back able to run with the football as well as operate out of the backfield. Martellus Bennett is also a good, tough, tight end who can both block and catch. The scary part of the Bears offense is that we don’t know how good they can be. This is only the second year in this system. Now that everyone is comfortable, look out NFL.
The Chicago Bears are known for defense but would like to move on from 2013. Julius Peppers is gone, replaced by Jared Allen. Lamarr Houston will bookend Allen, while Willie Young completes a picture that says “All new D-Line” Lance Briggs leads a set of good linebackers, while the defensive backs will benefit from the return of Kelvin Hayden and Chris Conte. This Bears defense has something to prove in 2014 and chances are they’ll jell into a much more formidable unit now that Coordinator Mel Tucker can install his own system.
The 2014 Chicago Bears schedule is a tough one, with the Packers, 49ers, Patriots, and Saints headlining a formidable schedule. If the Bears can get through this lineup as winners, they’ll have to be considered contenders for an NFC Championship shot.Eric Drouant
