Continuing our discussion of the top NFL tickets and teams. These NFL rankings are compiled from national opinion and may or may not be the way we’d rank them. But it is food for thought and gives us a good basis to start talking, which is what we do best.
Green Bay Packers – Green Bay is ranked #6 or 7 in most ratings and I can’t help but wonder why. The Packers are 2-2 for goodness sake. My guess is that this ranking is based on Aaron Rodgers and the fact that the rest of the schedule for Breen Bay is filled with patsies. They should win most of these games and end up 10-6. But that just gets them into the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs – Andy Reid is doing everything right. He’s made the Kansas City Chiefs relevant again and that’s a good thing. But I still have to wonder if this is just smoke, mirrors, and good luck. Despite their record I believe that ranking Kansas City in the Top 10 is wrong. But I’ll be happy to admit my error if they don’t get blown out by Denver.
Indianapolis Colts – If Luck is hot the Colts are a dangerous team. The guy just has something that makes his team better. They’ve beaten Seattle and that’s not an easy thing to do. With Houston reeling the Colts can now take control of the AFC South.
Cincinnati Bengals – I picked the Bengals as a Dark Horse prior to the season. They let me down more than once so far but after whipping the New England Patriots I may be ready to get back on the bandwagon. Maybe.
Chicago Bears – If schizo Cutler can stay upright the Chicago Bears could have an argument for being in the Top 10. While I like the way Trestman has this team playing they still don’t strike fear in anyone. The NFC North should pay attention but I’m not seeing anything that San Francisco or Seattle or New Orleans should really worry about.
