Any sport can be full of surprises. The NFL is no exception. This year there have been several surprisingly good teams, and some surprisingly bad.
Denver Broncos – In spite of all the shenanigans prior to the season, the loss of jay Cutler, the antics of Brandon Marshall, etc, the Denver Broncos are 4-0. Their latest last minute miracle win comes at the expense of the Dallas Cowboys, a popular pre-season Super Bowl pick who mow find themselves 2-2.
New Orleans Saints – Nobody had any doubts that the New Orleans Saints could score points. It’s just that nobody believed the Saints defense could even slow down the other team. Surprise! The New Orleans D has been excellent, forcing 13 turnovers, making key stops in crucial situations, and scoring 14 points ina 24-10 Saints win over the previously unbeaten New York Jets.
San Diego Chargers – For a team that was finally supposed to be healthy and ready to play the San Diego Chargers are playing more poorly than even their 2-2 record would indicate. The Chargers got manhandled by the Pittsburgh Steelers and seem to be falling apart.
Green Bay Packers – The Pack looked to be solid prior to the start of the season. But the defense hasn’t played with any fire. The Vikings, with the aging Favre there to rub it in, had their way with Green Bay and that had to take even more starch out of the crew from Lambeau Field.
