On October 7, the New Orleans Saints will be in their first Primetime game of the 2012 NFL season. It will be a Sunday night game against the San Diego Chargers. Two of the better quarterbacks in the NFL will be facing off, the young gunslinger Philip Rivers and the record-breaking Drew Brees.
In the past few seasons, the Chargers have been given high expectations only to fall short every time. In 2012, the San Diego Chargers are looking to make some noise in not only the AFC but also the NFL. Philip Rivers is trying to prove he can be one of the best in the league. In each of his six starting seasons, he has thrown for 3,000+ yards and 20+ touchdowns. They have some hefty matchups now with Peyton Manning in their division. They also have to face the New Orleans on Sunday night in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Drew Brees is very familiar with the Chargers organization since he played there before injuring his arm and coming to New Orleans. Another familiar face for the Chargers is speedster Darren Sproles. The combination of Drew Brees and Sproles coud definitely cause some problems for this developing Chargers defense.
With Robert Meachem now a Charger, Rivers and Meachem could also burn the struggling Saints secondary for some touchdowns. The Chargers also have young running back Ryan Mathews, who is bound to have his breakout season soon. It could be in this 2012 NFL season because of the solid offensive line for San Diego. The Chargers have a lot of upside for themselves as well as the Saints.
You can’t afford to miss out on this game. Two high flying offenses will be playing. The atmosphere will be like no other in the Dome’s first Primetime game of the 2012 season. Hold on and get ready. Get your tickets now at frontrow.com.
