NFL News – Free Agent Spree Continues

The NFL free agent fling is still ongoing.

New England Patriots – The Patriots lost their best cornerback as Aqib Talib decided to go to the Denver Broncos. Not a franchise that wastes time, the Patriots responded by signing Darrelle Revis to a one year contract for $12 million. No grass growing under their feet.

Denver Broncos – For a team that went to the Super Bowl the Broncos have been big players in the gree agent market. Besides picking up Talib, Denver signed Demarcus Ware today. Denver has also picked up T.J. Ward for their defense and looks to be building toward an all out assault on the Super Bowl while they have Manning under center.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The Bucs are looking at their quarterback position. Word has it that Josh McCown has signed a deal and will be heading for Tampa Bay in 2014.

Carolina Panthers – No movement yet but it appears that Steve Smith will be looking for another team. His agent announced that Smith has played his last snap for the Panthers.

Detroit Lions – Calvin Johnson gets somebody to draw attention away from him as the Lions inked Golden Tate to a contract. Tate can play any receiver position and immediately improves a Lions passing threat.
