NCAA June Madness

by on June 11, 2010 updated June 11, 2010

What’s the point of NCAA sanctions if they can’t affect the guys who did the bad deeds. Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints is an untouchable millionaire. So he loses his Heismann (maybe). Do you think he’s going to lose a nickel of his contract or other endorsements. No. Pete Carrol bailed on USC and is now earning millions in the NFL. Where’s his punishment?

The only people who get kicked in the butt by the NCAA are the kids who lose the chance at a scholarship. And they didn’t have anything to do with the whole mess. What the NCAA needs to do is find a way to penalize the active participants at the time. Maybe then things would get a little better.
