NBA Tickets | Lakers Lopsided Loss to Mavericks

Let’s not go out on a limb here. Lakers tickets are going to give you the chance to see a real NBA contender over the next few months. We’ll be clear about that. But it was pretty stunning to see LA whipped up on by the Dallas Mavericks in their season opener. Somehow we figured the Lakers would cruise in this one.

It was fairly obvious from the very beginning that this might not be the Lakers night. Missed shots and a disjointed offense stymied the home crowd expectations pretty quickly. In a season of fairly big signings and the creation of a roster that supposedly provided a supporting cast for Kobe Bryant, it just didn’t work.

Then again, it’s pretty hard to call adding Steve Nash and Dwight Howard a mistake isn’t it. Way too early for that. Let’s just call what happened to the Lakers growing pains. getting whipped by the Dallas Mavericks 99-91 in your first game certainly isn’t the end of the world. These Lakers will be back.

From here, Los Angeles will have to do some soul searching. They’ll also have to do some work on finding a team rhythm, not having had a chance to work together in the preseason because somebody was always nursing an injury. But the Los Angeles Lakers have to get it together quickly, as Portland is up next.
