NASCAR’s Nextel Cup Chase Heads to the Finish Line

by on August 5, 2007 updated August 10, 2007

It’s time to zero in on the Chase for the Nextel Cup. I’m looking at the final three races that could determine who’s in and who’s out, namely the Sharpie 500, the
California 500, and the Chevy Rock and Roll 400.  Right now Dale Earnhardt Jr. fans are holding their breath as the younger Earnhardt sits in 12th place, less than 200 points behind Clint Bowyer. Should Dale Jr. put up a strong showing in these races he could make the cut for the first time in forever. Meanwhile Bowyer and even #9 Jimmie Johnson will have to be on their toes. Even Kurt Busch, now hanging on to #13 has an outside shot if he can get a win. Who’ll punch their ticket to the Chase for the Nextel Cup? The excitement lies between #8 and #13. For NASCAR tickets to these races, and all the races in the Chase for the Nextel Cup, rely on to put you in great seats for the hottest races.
