One thing about the New York Yankees, they ain’t cheap. This club religously outspends every other club in Major League Baseball and the 2009 version of the New York Yankees won’t be any exception to that rule.
Economy be damned, the Yankees hosted a dual introduction, welcoming C.C Sabathia and A. J. Burnett. Total price? Over $240 million for the pair. That’s right. A mere 1/4 of a billion dollars. The odd thing is, despite the willingness to spend, the New York Yankees haven’t won a World Series in over a decade. It ain’t all about the Benjamins.Eric Drouant
