Taking just a few minutes to set aside the NBA Finals this week, let’s take a look at a major milestone in Major League Baseball. Randy Johnson, otherwise known as The Big Unit, has added himself to the list of MLB 300-game winners. The big moment came in a game against the Washington Nationals. Unfortunately it also came with some disgruntled fans. What’s being called a blown call on the last strike of the 8th inning gave the San Francisco Giants enough leeway to hold on to the lead. Oh well, you can’t have everything and Johnson would have hit 300 soon anyway.
Meanwhile, back at the farm, the Toronto Blue Jays Alex Rios struck out five times in five plate appearances in a game against the Los Angeles Angels. It just goes to show you, a good day for one guy is a disaster for another.
