MLB Outlook

Just a few days after the MLB trade deadline and some teams are seeing the payoff. The Boston Red Sox got immediate dividends in Jason Bay as he scored the winning run against the Oakland Athletics. Meanwhile, back in the sandbox called LA, the Dodgers watched Manny Ramirez hit into a double play. He was 2 for 4 in the game though, so it ain’t all Manny.

Overall the Red Sox are in good shape. Currently trailing the Tampa Bay Rays in the A.L. East, they’ve improved their team without paying a huge price. I think they got the best of the deal. Speaking of the A.L. East, the Yankees aren’t too far out of it either, having gotten back n track with a winning streak over the last few weeks. Tampa Bay will have to step quick to stay ahead.

Elsewhere the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins are in lockstep in the AL Central with neither team willing to give an inch. And the West, well, let’s just say the Angels have a commanding lead.

Manyana, the NL.
