MLB Antics and NFL Shuffle

by on February 8, 2008 updated February 8, 2008

Roger Clemens is back in the news as he battles the doping allegations made against him. The 45 year old Yankees pitcher is now looking at what accusers say are collections of needles, bandages, and beer cans collected while he was allegedly doing steroids. Who keeps this kind of stuff? Someone with an agenda. What that agenda is the MLB will have to wait and see.

meanwhile the NFL is looking at changing the playoff format. Division winners, if matched against a Wild Card team with a better record, would have to travel. I think it’s a workable idea. Why not reward the better record? It would even out divisional power differences and reward teams that keep the pedal to the medal all season long.
