On Sunday October 28th, the New Orleans Saints face a challenge that they have not faced since February 7 of 2010. That challenge is future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning. Manning is now a Denver Bronco and will be for the next five years. With Manning comes hope everything will turn out right the Broncos, and he could even get revenge against the Saints who spoiled his Super Bowl dreams.
The New Orleans Saints have a tough challenge with the young but experienced team of the Denver Broncos. The newly acquired Peyton Manning is looking to get revenge on the Saints for beating him in Superbowl XLIV. The Broncos have an excellent pair of receivers in Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas and with Manning at the controls their passing attack should be vastly improved.
Despite their offseason woes, the Saints are still not to be looked down upon. New Orleans will still most likely have a top 5 offense in the NFL at that point. The Saints have one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history. Last year, the Broncos were 18th in rushing yards allowed per game and 20th in passing yards allowed per game. Drew Brees and this fast-paced Saints offense will definitely give the Denver Broncos some difficulties that could be too hard to overcome.
Once again, Peyton Manning has a revenge factor that could play into his performance on the football field. Willis McGahee, a 1,000 yard rusher last season, will help Peyton Manning take off some pressure off of himself. McGahee could actually be the dark horse in this game. He was extremely productive last season and could have another great season this year.
