Buddy Ryan is a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and that heart has a direct line to his mouth. So can you imagine what’s going on in team meetings of the New York Jets? A little history here:
In 2009 the New York Jets were the surprise team of the AFC in the playoffs. Ryan pushed his Jets all the way to the AFC Championship game with a rookie quarterback. Playoff wins over the San Diego Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals had New York Jets ticket holders thinking Super Bowl. Than came the Indianapolis Colts.
Manning and the Colts looked beaten as the Jets defense held them in check. But it wasn’t to be for Ryan and the Jets. The Colts rallied from 11 points down, going on a rampage that ended with a 30-17 score and the Jets were watching the Super Bowl along with the rest of America.
Now Ryan and the Jets can get their revenge on an Indianapolis Colts team that has been a shadow of it’s former self. Manning has struggled to win with injuries taking away his favorite weapons. The Colts fought to a playoff berth, only locking it up with a last second field goal against the Titans.
If you’re a Colts ticket holders you better get out there and make noise. If you’re a Jets ticket holder get on a plane and try to be there for Ryan’s revenge.
