Heisman Hopeful – Denard Robinson

by on August 31, 2012 updated August 31, 2012

In 2010, Denard Robinson had his chance to be the starting quarterback at Michigan.  He definitely proved that he deserved the starting position.  In 2010, he had 2500+ passing yards, 18 passing touchdowns, 1700 rushing yards, and 14 rushing touchdowns.  Last year, the Michigan QB made another run at the Heisman trophy by posting 2100 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns, 1100+ rushing yards, and 16 rushing touchdowns.  Unfortunately, he didn’t get chosen as a finalist.  This year Denard is looking to make a difference.

This year Robinson should have his best season.  I’m expecting 3,000 yards or a little less, 20+ passing touchdowns, definitely over 1,000 rushing yards, and at least 12 rushing touchdowns.  This guy is an offensive monster.  He should be the front runner along with Matt Barkley from USC, but I’d give the edge to Denard because of him athleticism, which Barkley doesn’t have.  Denard Robinson, I believe, will take the Michigan Wolverines to the Big 10 Championship and win it.  I also believe that Michigan will go undefeated, so that means that they would upset the reigning BCS Champions Alabama.  Now, I could be wrong with that one prediction against Alabama, but I believe that Michigan is really hard to overlook.

Without Denard Robinson, Michigan wouldn’t be the same team as they are now.  Denard is the key to this team’s success.  I believe that Robinson could easily win the Heisman trophy this year, but he has to perform beyond expectations and totally destroy all competition that comes in the Wolverines’ way.

Michigan fans, come see your Heisman hopeful dominate this season and possibly hold the Heisman trophy at the end of the season.  Get your tickets now at Frontrow.com.
