Final Four Tickets – Louisville

The Louisville Cardinals are headed for the Final Four compliments of a late game surge against Florida. The Cardinals used the last 10 minutes of the game to unleash a blitz of points, outscoring the Gators by 10 in that time. The victory puts Rick Pitino and his team into the Final Four but comes at the price of seeing his old player, coaching on the other side, fall victim to the Cardinal onslaught.
This is the ninth time Louisville has earned their Final Four tickets and while many expected a competitive game here, the Cardinals weren’t seen as a team that could win it all. That may have changed as Louisville used depth off the bench to fill in for the loss of point guard Peyton Siva, a victim of foul trouble.
Strangely enough, the Cardinals have reached the Final Four on the impetus from a technical foul on Pitino. Enraged by the officials call after opposing coach Donovan influenced their ensuing calls. At that point the Gators posted an 11 point lead and things looked tough for Pitino and Louisville. But being down is a necessary part of a rally isn’t it? So now we see Louisville in the Final Four. Welcome to the Crescent City boys.
