Last year was everything but a good time for the Kansas City Chiefs. Even though they were a game away from winning the division, it just fell apart in the end with no playoff appearance. At least they were only one of two teams to beat Green Bay. Now, imagine that team from last year, but with its star players back. Matt Cassel, Jamaal Charles, Tony Moeaki, Eric Berry, and now Dwyane Bowe are all back and ready to play.
Last year’s offense was mediocre and now with Cassel, Charles, Moeaki, and Bowe back everything changes. Dwyane Bowe definitely wants to be there and it’s a good thing he signed his tender because he will get a nice contract next year. The entire feel of this team is new and confident. This division could be a close battle between any two teams. But if I gave any team an edge, it would be the Kansas City Chiefs. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kansas City went 11-5. That’s how good this team looks.
With Eric Berry coming back, this defense could easily be a top 10 defense. When you have players like Tamba Hali, Eric Berry, and even Justin Houston, you have a bright future for your team. Losing Brandon Carr is really the only negative. I still think that the Chiefs can overcome that loss and win games consistently.
After last year, I became a Romeo Crennel fan. He seems like a great person and coach for any team to have. I think that Crennel is the key to Kansas City winning the games that it needs to win in order to take the AFC West again. I have total faith in Crennel.
