Federer is Back (Just in Time for Wimbledon)

by on June 18, 2013 updated June 18, 2013

I have to admit I wrote an article for another site wondering whether Roger Federer was feeling the effects of age or injury. Tennis fans you can berate me now. It happens every time, or at least most of the time. Federer has been in a decided slump. His victory today at Halle was his first major win in over a year. So the old man decides to come out of the woodwaork and kick butt just to make me look bad.

That being said, Federer has chosen a good time to get himself amped up. Remember, Wimbledon is a little over a month away at this point. Those of us who may have discounted Roger Federer as a serious contender in either Wimbledon or the US Open can now serve penance. Federer played excellent tennis this weekend and looks to be in good enough shape to make a challenge at either tournament.

Wimbledon starts June 24th and runs through July 7th. Wimbledon tickets are available here.

The US Open begins August 26th and runs through September 9th. US Open tickets are available here.
