College Football Tickets That Matter

So I was in this dive bar in Marietta Tuesday, when I came across the most profound bathroom scribble.

“All that matters is Fleetwood Mac.”

Actually, the Doors, Stones, Zeppelin and Hendrix matter more, but that’s a whole other blog.

All that matters this weekend is football tickets, specifically Auburn-Florida tickets and California-Oregon tickets.

Auburn-Florida tickets: As you know, I believe the Gators are headed back to the BCS National Championship Game. I believe Urban Meyer’s boys will slip up next week in Baton Rouge, but this weeks it’s chomping time.
Auburn has put out an SOS distress call for its missing quarterback. Freshman Kodi Burns is the future, but he’s not ready to go into the Swamp and knock off the defending champs. But, for that matter, neither is senior Brandon Cox.
The Gators, on the other hand, are set at quarterback for the next couple of years. Tim Tebow, in his first full year starting, is putting up Heisman numbers.
Look for him to solidify his candidacy with another big performance against Auburn.

California-Oregon tickets: The scoreboard will be lighting up at Autzen Stadium Saturday, as the Bears for Berkley visit to take on the Ducks and quarterback Dennis Dixon.
Cal and Oregon have been putting up points in bunches. The Bears are led by Heisman candidate DeSean Jackson, a do-everything wide receiver capable of taking it to the house every time he touches the ball.
Look for Oregon to try to limit Jackson’s touches with a ball-control offense. This is the best game of this week’s slate. I like the home Ducks.
