The Charlotte Bobcats have yet to make their presence known in the NBA. The only thing NBA fans know the Bobcats as is the team that won only seven games. And their bad luck continued by not winning the lottery and receiving only the second overall pick. Well, my only advice to Charlotte fans is don’t worry and be happy.
The second overall pick is not a bad pick at all, especially in a very deep draft like this one. If you look at some second overall picks, you have Evan Turner for the Philadelphia 76ers, Michael Beasley for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and probably one of the greatest second overall picks of all time Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Those three are great players and will develop into even better players in years to come. Plus, the Bobcats have great options even if it’s not Anthony Davis.
One option is forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, the freshman out of Kentucky. Kidd-Gilchrist is a great and young player. He has raw talent that can easily be coached up. His potential to become a franchise player is huge. At Kentucky, he averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block per game. For college basketball, that’s great.
Another option for the Bobcats is Florida guard Bradley Beal. Only recently has Beal joined the talks as being the second overall pick, but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t the real deal. If you’re talking potential, he has one of the best in the draft. He is an amazing player hands down. He, as well as Kidd-Gilchrist, can be coached up to be top notch players for this franchise. While at Florida, Beal averaged 15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block per game. This guard can really help change the team.
So, Bobcats fans, don’t be scared because there is nothing good fortune and more wins in this franchise’s future. Don’t miss out on your Charlotte Bobcats improving for years to come. Get your tickets now at Frontrow.com.
