Michael Jordan was the king of the NBA during his time. He ignited the Chicago Bulls to unprecedented success, won the NBA Championship repeatedly, and became the face of the league. But retirement, at least his last retirement from playing, apparently hasn’t been challenging enough. It’s almost inevitable that Jordan would seek new challenges and now he has.
Michael Jordan has reached an agreement to purchase the Charlotte Bobcats, or at least a controlling interest. It’s a big leap of faith on Jordan’s part as the Charlotte Bobcats have been filling volumes of red ink. Can Jordan turn around a franchise struggling both on and off the court? He’s certainly got the reputation of a winner, but his off the court influence on other franchises has not been that great. Maybe he just needed to be in total control. We’ll see.
