If you’re into grudge matches you might want to get NBA Playoff tickets for the Cavaliers-Celtics eventual battle. It seems almost pre-destined that the Cavaliers and Boston will be doing head to head battle at some point in the near future. This is barring some kind of miracle where someone else in the NBA’s Eastern Conference knocks one of them off. I really don’t see that happening.
Anyway, what adds fuel to this fire is Cleveland raking the Boston Celtics over the coals last night, topping the defending NBA champs by over 34 points at home in the Quicken Arena. The results of the game serve to underline the Cavaliers contiual domination at home where they now stand at 39-1. The Celtics now have some taste of what they’ll be facing come playoff time. They’re looking at topping not only a very good team but a team that is unbelievably confident at home and rightfully so. Shutting up the home crowd from the start will have to be tops on Boston’s list of things that must happen to win. The roar of approaching battle is getting louder in the Eastern Conference.Eric Drouant
