The Cincinnati Bengals legal woes are becoming the stuff of legend. Wide receiver Chris Henry’s most recent arrest, his fifth since late 2005, was the final straw for the Bengals, who released him in response. Good move. The NFL has it’s hands full already with legal issues created by player arrests. Henry is one of the worst offenders.
Having failed to reach a Super Bowl with a cast of talented but troubled players, the Bengals are in serious need of a roster remake. One that places an emphasis on character and team first rather than individual glory. They aren’t the Oakland Raiders of old, who won with castoffs and trouble makers.
