Ankle Central

by on February 2, 2008 updated February 2, 2008

In all the hoopla about Tom Brady and his ankle injury, it seems forgotten that a less prominent ankle could play a bigger role. Plaxico Burress of the New York Giants has been suffering with ankle injuries all year yet has managed to play. And play well. When the Patriots hosted the Giants in the last game of the season, Burress was a major factor in the game, and took advantage of his size to haul in 4 passes for 84 yards and more importantly two touchdowns. without him in the lineup, the patriots can concentrate more on the run. Will he play? 100% or not he’ll be on the field. The question is how effective will he be? Answers on Sunday when the Super Bowl kicks off.
