AFC North Preview – Pittsburgh Steelers

by on July 22, 2012 updated July 22, 2012

Last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers posted a nice record of 12-4, which didn’t win them the AFC North unfortunately.  They also lost to the Tim Tebow led Denver Broncos in the first round of the playoffs.  The future of the Steelers still looks steady and ongoing for fortune.

The Steelers are always in contention for the playoffs and the Superbowl as long as Roethlisberger and their top notch defense remains in place.  Roethlisberger has established his name as one of the best in the NFL.  He has over 26,000 yards and 165 touchdowns in his 9 years in the NFL.  Last year, he had 21 touchdowns but 14 interceptions.  As long as he has Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown there for his career as a Steeler, then this offense will continue to be one of the best in the league.

It’s hard to put this defense into words.  Here are some: amazing, hard-nosed, destructive.  This defense is known as one of the most experienced and hardest playing defenses in the NFL.  When you go up against the Steelers, you immediately think defense.  It was the number one ranked defense last year posting incredible numbers.  They allowed only 14 points and only 270 total yards per game.  It’s hard to just think of the tenacity of this defense.   James Harrison along with Troy Polamalu will either sack you or pick you off.  Teams, beware of this team next year.  They are fighting for vengeance and a spot in the Superbowl.

Steelers fans, you have a season to look forward to with this team.  Don’t miss a single moment; get your tickets now at Frontrow.com.
