The proud AFC West has taken a beating in the NFL season. The Denver Broncos, hardly the epitome of a powerh0use NFL team, have a three game lead over the San Diego Chargers, once billed as the most talented team in the league. Denver has games remaining against the Carolina Panthers, probably their toughest, then the quickly sinking Buffalo Bills and those overrated Chargers. Look for Denver Broncos playoff tickets to be printed in the next week or so.
Obviously the most interesting division in the AFC would be the AFC East. Perfect last year during the regular season the New England Patriots find themselves trailing a Brett Favre led New York Jets team and barely ahead by tiebreakers of a Miami Dolphins team that couldn’t pass wind in 2007. All are 8-5. The Jets and Miami will tangle in the last game of the season. The Patriots have the edge in scheduling with Arizona, Oakland, and Buffalo remaining on the schedule. Would it be going out on a limb to pick the Dolphins as the AFC East division champs? This weeks guest pigskin prognosticator, Jumpin Josh, pictured above, says a wild card spot is a definite for this Miami Dolphins team.
Rumor Central: Reports of archeologist finding a 2,000 year old brain are rampant across the internet. Reports that it is the brain of Al Davis are untrue.
