Vikings Playoff Tickets – Sliding Away

Minnesota Vikings tickets for the playoffs are hot tickets. But the Vikings aren’t a hot team. Since running out to a 10-1 record the Vikings have fallen short, losing three of their last four. While Brett Favre has fallen off his game only slightly the Vikings defense has taken a big hit. In the last three games Minnesota has given up over 90 points, an indictment on the NFL’s supposedly best defense. It’s not the way Vikings ticket holders thought it would go.

Now the Minnesota Vikings find themselves in need of some help to clinch a first round bye. First they’ll have to beat the New York Giants. Then, the Dallas Cowboys will have to topple the hot Philadelphia Eagles. It’s a surprising turnaround in the wrong direction. It’s also a bad sign for a team that needs to go into the playoffs with some positive momentum.

Of course, if you need a revival the New York Giants might be the team to get it from. But getting help from the Cowboys is a tenuous deal, especially if it comes by way of a win over Philadelphia. Nevertheless, Vikings playoff tickets still hold the promise of a Super Bowl run. Teams get hot the same way they cool off. With an experienced quarterback, a Pro Bowl running back, and a defense with a monster pass rush, the Minnesota Vikings are still a team that could end up in Miami.

NFL Playoff Tickets – Unbeaten Woes

Man, the unbeaten teams in the NFL have taken a dive in the last two weeks. In fact, there are no remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL. The New Orleans Saints fell againts Dallas last week. This week it’s the Indianapolis Colts taking the fall against the New York Jets.

A lot of talk goes into an NFL playoff team needing to build up a head of steam going into the post-season. Right now it doesn’t look good for either the Saints or the Colts. Both need to rebound in a big way next week. Otherwise they face a playoff game against a hot team with a playoff victory under their belts and confidence riding high.

Packers Playoff Tickets – Out of Nowhere

Forgive me for not paying more attention but it seems the Green Bay Packers have come out of nowhere to claim a spot in the NFC Playoffs. I remember looking at the Packers loss to the Bucs, watching aaron Rodgers get laid out on every pass play, and thinking the Packers were on the ropes. Due to a defensive wakeup call, the Green Bay Packers are in the playoff and looking very solid. They’ve got the type of momentum needed in a playoff run by claiming six wins in their last seven games.

Now the Green Bay Packers have things clinched. They’ll line up against either the Cardinals or Eagles in the first round of the playoffs, a spot nobody could have foreseen when they were playing .500 ball. What’s important now is playing well againts the Arizona Cardinals in the last week of the season. It could be a tuneup for the post-season party and the Packers just need a few tweaks to go deep into the run for the Super Bowl.

Eagles Playoff Tickets – Finishing Strong

The Philadelphia Eagles have clinched a playoff spot with their win over the Denver Broncos. Winning the NFC east is the next logical step and the process is simple. Just beat the Dallas Cowboys in their home stadium. A few years ago, or even last season, that would have seemed very doable. But maybe not now.

The Dallas Cowboys have come on strong the last two weks with wins over the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos. All Dallas needs is a win over the Eagles to win the NFC East. All the Eagles need over the Cowboys to clinch the NFC East. It’s the exact scenario the schedule makers envisioned when they plannned the season and something NFL fans have expected for years. Not it plays out on a national stage. Who’s the hottest team going into the playoff. eagles at Cowboys will tell.

Dallas Cowboys Playoff Tickets – December Doldrums No More

Over the last few years Dallas Cowboys tickets have gone through the December doldrums. Not in the 2009 NFL season though. It looks like Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys have gotten over that. After losing the first two games of December 2009 the Dallas Cowboys have roared to a victory over the formerly unbeaten New Orleans Saints and then stomped the Washington Redskins in a shutout. It’s just the kind of performance needed at the end of the year.

Now the Cowboys will have to face the Philadelphia Eagles to claim the NFC East crown. It’s a simple scenario. Win and you’re the champ. With a two-game winning streak the Dallas Cowboys now seem more like a playoff contender than they did a month ago. But the Eagles have been bolstered by the play of McNabb and the return of Brian Westbrook. They’re playoff ready, playing the best football they have all season. It’s a typical NFC East scenario and the Dallas Cowboys can put paid to a lot of distracting talk by coming out on top againts the Eagles.

Sugar Bowl Tickets – Gators vs Bearcats

Sugar Bowl tickets for this matchup between the Florida Gators and Cincinnati Bearcats have the extreme benefit of bringing you into New Orleans, the premiere spot for pre-game and postgame fun. It fits like a glove. Enjoy the New Orleans atmosphere downtown in the French quarter, take a quick cab ride to the Superdome and you’re watching the Sugar Bowl, one of the best bowl games around.

What’s more, Sugar Bowl ticket holders get to see the last hurrah of Tim Tebow. Few college football players have the impact of a Tim Tebow. With the NFl looming, Tebow will be looking to come back from an SEC Championship loss and up his market value in the pros. Not to metion going out a Sugar Bowl winner.

BCS National Championship Tickets – Get Ready

It seems our BCS National Championship game this season will be one of the better matchups I’ve seen. Despite all it’s failings the BCS has managed to pit the #1 and #1 concensus teams against each other. Two teams with solid histories and terrific talent will butt heads in the BCS National Championship Game and it shoul be a good one.

While I believe the Texas Longhorns are a great team I guess I have to throw my take on the game toward the Alabama Crimson Tide. It’s probably my SEC indoctrination leading me in that direction but After looking things over I think Alabama will just bang their way to the Championship. Nick Saban has once again put together a team capable of beating anyone in the nation and nobody prepares for a game like Saban. It’ll be close but the Tide gets the edge in my book.

Eagles Tickets – Is this their Year?

Eagles tickets have been good to Philadelphia fans. Despite never having won a Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the consistently better franchises in the NFL. Always competitive, physical, and exciting, the Eagles have taken themselves to the Super Bowl and ultimate dissapointment. For all their success the big prize has eluded the Eagles.

But 2009 could be a shocker. The Eagles have been on a tear, winning five straight and pushing themselves into the lead in the NFC East. Two teams stand between the Eagles and the NFC East title. The Denver Broncos are the next challenge, a team struggling to return to early season form. Finally, in the last week, the Eagles meet the Dallas Cowboys. The schedule makers hit on the head with this one. A Dallas win and Eagles loss this week could make Eagles vs Cowboys a win and in game.

Cowboys Tickets – Alive and Well

No more December dissapointment goes along with Dallas Cowboys tickets. After listening to two weeks of December disaster the Dallas Cowboys rebounded with a very impressive win over the New Orleans saints last night.  Hats off to the Cowboys. They traveled to New Orleans, into a Superdome bursting at the seams, and walked away with a 24-17 win over a previously undefeated Saints team.

This means the Dallas Cowboys are alive and well. And in position to take the NFC East, or at least a Wild Card spot, looking for another Super Bowl run. Is Wade Philips capable of motivating his team into more performances like that of Saturday night. If he can, the Cowboys will be hard to stop and Cowboys tickets will be one of the most sought after NFL tickets as 2009 wanes.

Golf Tickets – No Tiger No Crying

Those of us who cling longingly to our golf tickets have gotten used to seeing Tiger Woods as the focus of all the attention. It’s a situation that I grew tired of a long time ago. Call it heresy, but I never like to see a player or a team dominate a sport for long stretches. I like to see competition, upheaval, upsets, and surprises. Furthermore, the unseemly worship of Tiger Woods reached it’s breaking point with me a long time ago. I’ve been lokking and waiting for the next big name to rise and spur more interest in golf tickets and that chance has come.

Don’t ask me to weep for Tiger Woods. He reached a pinnacle, forgot himself, and hurt those around him. Did he hurt golf? Not for long. Will he pay a price? He already is. But he’s human, as we all are, and will be forgiven. But the future of golf WAS Tiger Woods and is no more. Keep your eye on the horizon because the next big players are coming.
