Miami Tickets – Sunshine State Entertainment

May has arrived and the action is heating up in Miami. Over the course of the next few months Miami will have more than it’s share of great events and tickets in this Meca will go quickly. Sand and surf aren’t the only things in Florida. Your vacation to Miami can include some of the following:

Miami Heat Tickets – The Heat are in the thick of the NBA Playoffs and facing the Atlanta Hawks in Game 7. Victory brings the chance to enjoy NBA action where it really means something.

Green Day Tickets – Green Day will make the trip to the American Airlines Arena in August. If you haven’t seen Green Day in concert don’t miss out. I can tell you from personal experience they put on a show.

Theater Tickets in Miami offer a good selection if that’s your bag. Chicago the Musical will be there in May. You’ll have two opportunities to catch the famous Cirque series. Cirque Dreams hits the Ziff Ballet Opera House May 12th to 17th, while Le Petit Cirque is at Miami Dade County Auditorium in June.

And this is only a small selection of what’s happening down south in Florida’s premiere city. Check out our Miami Events page for more options.

National Finals Rodeo- December Fun

Lest we forget, in the midst of our pigskin madness, those National Finals Rodeo Tickets I’ve had pinned to the fridge for the last few months will become gold in early December. It’s not too late to latch on but you better get hopping. The action starts on December 4th in Las Vegas and for the next 10 days you won’t find more or better action anywhere. Get out of your armchair, forget the economy, and get out to the National Finals Rodeo. You’ll be glad you did.

Summer Olympics – Upsets in the Pool

Americans headed to the Summer Olympics need to know that the U.S. Swim team will feature some unexpected faces. Brendan Hansen, a heavy favorite, failed to make the team for the 200-meter breastroke. On the women’s side, Katie Hoff, who’s already qualified for four events, also missed out on the 100-meter freestyle, an event considered a lock for her.

I love the Olympics. Relative unkowns to the general public seem to rise to the top. Names we’ve never heard before will become familiar as the Olympics progress. Hopefully, the U.S. will fare well.

Sports Tickets I would Buy

If I were not stuck in Iraq, 7,000 miles from home, here’s the Sports Tickets I would buy for March:

Kobalt Tools 500 – Two reasons, one is my wife’s family lives not far away from Hampton and two, I like the Georgia Satellites song “Don’t tell me no lies”. And of course, NASCAR in general.

Food City 500 Tickets – I like food too. And NASCAR

Zurich Classic of New Orleans Tickets – If you haven’t been to New Orleans, March is the time to go before it gets too hot and steamy. Plus, crawfish are in season.

Tennis Channel Open Tickets – It would be like watching tennis on TV except no commercials, plus I could wave like an idiot every time the camera came my way.

NHL Tickets for the March 3 game featuring the Anaheim Ducks against the Ottawa Senators. Anytime Ducks have a chance to knock off Senators I want to be there. It’s a political thing.

Bob Dylan Tickets for any of his dates at the House of Blues in Dallas. The last time I saw Bob Dylan was during his Rolling Thunder Revue tour at The Warehouse in New Orleans. Too long ago for me to think about. Ok, so it’s not a sports ticket but ain’t it a great way to wrap up a great month?

NBA All Star Game Next New Orleans Ticket

It’s been quite a start for 2008 in New Orleans. The Crescent City has already seen the Sugar Bowl and the BCS National Championship game. What’s up next? Well, Big Easy fans are fearing up for the best party on the continent as Carnival season gets underway and culminates on Mardi Gras day, Feb. 5th. Sports fans will have just enough time to recuperate and grab NBA All Star Game tickets for the NBA’s party on Feb. 16th. What other american city can boast of a starting slate of events like these?

Zumanity

The problem with writing about a show is revealing too much and spoiling the effect. A friend of mine recently returned from Las Vegas where he got the chance to see Zumanity, one of the Cirque de Soleil productions. This is what been billed a tasteful exploration of human sexuality through physical expression. According to my buddy it’s very well done, eminently tasteful, but definitely not for kids. He raved about it, calling it a “must see for adults in Vegas.”

The National Finals Rodeo

With all the hoopla surrounding the NFL, the starts of NBA basketball, and college football coming down to crunch time, don’t let the National Finals Rodeo get away from you. Coming in early December in Las Vegas, the National Finals Rodeo is one of the most impressive sporting events around. Day after day of rodeo competition, concerts, and tons of other entertainment will find their way to Las Vegas to end the year with a bang.

If you follow ready you know what’s in store for you. If you don’t it’s time you found out.

Garbled Thoughts on Sports Tickets -My Questions?

Can Giants ticket holders end their love of Barry Bonds and Giants Stadiun be the scene of peace and tranquilty as Barry leaves or will there be mass hari-kara with fans clutching their Giants tickets as they herd themselves, lemming like, into the bay?

Will Jeff Gordon continue to place highly and win the Nextel Cup almost by default? The Checker Auto Parts 500 and the Ford  400 are Gordon’s only opportunities to claim the flag.

Boston College may get their first letdown of the year against Virginia Tech.

USC is actually an underdog against Oregon

Th New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts meet Nov 4th. Say no more.

Falling Like Flies

As i enough hasn’t happened in 2007, college football tickets delivered another upset this weekend, in a year already distinguished by an unmatvhed series of stunners. The #6 South Carolina Gamecocks and Steve Spurrier took it on the chin with a 17-6 loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Gamecocks built a 17-0 lead by halftime and then used a series of turnovers by their maligned defense to shut down The Old Ball Coach and a turnstile of quarterbacks.

By my count that’s a dozen upsets of top ranked teams so far in 23007. It seems like hanging around the top of the BCS poll isn’t a real healthy thing to do. Where will it all end? In more controversy over the selection of the #1 and #2 teams to meet in the BCS Championship. Unless Ohio State can roll through undefeated, the kings of college football have their work cut out for them.

Chevy Rock and Roll 400 tickets

To me, Chevy Rock and Roll 400 tickets are the must have NASCAR tickets of the season before you hit the Chase for the Nextel Cup. It’s at Richmond that the knife edge of doom falls for the leftovers and the joy of possibility opens up for the chosen few. It’s also a great party. The season is heading into the final burst, the rhetoric is finished, and it’s do or die time for the final cut.

Dale earnhardt fans are doomed to dissapointment again. Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., and Kurt Busch are locked into an epic battle for the finals spots in the Chase. Mark your calendar for Sep. 8th. Then the fun begins all over again.
