Here I Sit, Broken Hearted

You may know the next line. Then again you may not. I’m broken hearted because the latest and greatest Twitter on the net is that Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are rumored to be in Splitsville. Yes sports fans, the worst event you could possibly think of has happened. No longer will we get long adoring shots of Simpson in her Dallas Cowboys jersey cheering on her boyfriend. No longer will we see those utterly fantastic shots of Simpson in shorts and a tight T-shirt at golfing events around the country. The unthinkable has occured. But hey, what could we really expect? That these two fab titans of their industry would last forever. It was fun while it lasted. Let’s rewind the tape.

Journey Tickets – Don’t Stop Believin”

Once again monster concert tickets are coming to my hometown and probably yours. This time it’s Journey tickets. Journey is a group my wife has pounded into mu kids heads as being one of her favorites. My oldest daughter has passed up the chance one time to see Journey and it won’t happen again. She’s determined to see Journey in concert. Naturally, the onus falls on me to procure the tickets, an easy task because of my familiaruty with Frontrow.com. It’s going to be a Happy Birthday for my oldest spwan as the Journet concert falls within a couple of days of her birthday. And I get to kill two birds with one stone.

Concert Ticket after Concert Ticket – Welcome to My World

I have three daughters. And one crazy wife. They demand constant attention, cuddling, positive feedback, …. and concert tickets. In the last few months I have provided, via Frontrow.com, the following concert tickets:

Bon Jovi Tickets - These were my wife’s idea since she’s in love with Jon Bon Jovi. Luckily I was still in Afghanistan and didn’t have to watch her drool through the whole concert.

Miley Cyrus Tickets – Having a 10 year old daughter is great. My older daughters took her to a New Kids On the Block concert and she’s returning the favor by providing them with Miley Cyrus Ticket via my MasterCard.

Taylor Swift Tickets - Is this one of those American Idol things? I’ve listened to this girl and she’s a great singer. I prefer the idiot early shows on American Idol though.

With Journey tickets on the horizon, this is a just the beginning of what I’m sure will be an impressive list of concert tickets by the time 2010 rolls around.

No Doubt Tickets – Get Em While They’re Hot

No Doubt about it, No Doubt tickets for their latest tour may be the most sought after concert tickets of 2009. It’s been a long five years since Gwen Stefani and crew have taken to the road and the demand for LIVE No Doubt hasn’t dissipated. If anything it’s intensified.

While most fans expected a new album before No Doubt went on tour that hasn’t happened. Maybe it’s better that way. After all, if the inspiration isn’t there, and Stefani has said it wasn’t, sometimes it’s best to fall back to basics. For No Doubt, those basics include, Just a Girl, Ex-Girlfriend, and Underneath it all. Fans, including myself, don’t have a problem with that. I’ve sat through too many concerts where sub-par new material was shoved down my throat while the best of the past was laid to rest. I’m all for fresh material but it’s got to be up to par. For No Doubt fans in 2009 that means a rejuvenated No Doubt re-inventing the wheel that rolled them to the top in the first place.

Bon Jovi Tickets – Cathy’s Special Alert

This just in: My wife has excitedly informed me that Bon Jovi will be playing at the Jazzfest in New Orleans in May. I can’t confirm this, I’m 8,000 miles away. But from the schoolgirl crush excitement in her voice I’m thinking I’ll soon see Bon Jovi tickets on my monthly statement. Well, bless her heart. The Jazzfest is back in full swing after the devestation of Hurricane Katrina, bringing some of the best values in concert tickets you’ll ever find. Don’t think your favorire band has to be officially on tour. Check out New Orleans events and you’ll see what I mean.

My Concert Tickets Wish List

OK, so I missed R.E.M. at the Voodoo fest in New Orleans. I wish I could have been there but duty calls. with the economy collapsing, millions losing their homes due to foreclosure, banks failing, and no way for me to get in line for the bailout money I figured it wasn’t the time to tell the boss I was taking the day off. I do have the rght to dream though and here’s what I’m thinking I might want:

Metallica Tickets – These heavy metal bandits visit my hometown in November. Who cares if their last album didn’t make the grade? They’ve got too much older stuff that’s better than anything.

The Eagles Tickets – Heck, I can drive to Houston for the Eagles. No sweat.

Coldplay Tickets – This means a trip to Atlanta to make my wife happy. But I would get to visit my friend Dancin Dave. He’ll probably want me to see The White Stripes, according to him “The best band ever.”

Tina Turner Tickets – Another trip to Hotlanta is in the cards. Now, if we can only persuade Bryan Adams to show up and do ”It’s Only Love”

That my concert ticket wish list for the time being. There’s more to see and do but hey for right now it’s just dreaming.

R.E.M. Envy

R.E.M. is playing at the New Orleans Voodoo Music Festival and I won’t be there to see them. Will You? I certainly hope so. If you’ve never been to this musical event in New Orleans City Park you’re missing out on a good ne. A collection of the big names with a sprinkling of up and comers and local talent all converging under the moss covered oaks of the greatest party city in the world. Need I say More?

The Who – Don’t Get Fooled Again – Get Your Who Tickets Now

Get ready for The Who. This seminal rock band is one of my favorites and they’re going on tour again in October and November. If you’ve never seen Roger Daltrey and crew live get ready for a treat. Like the Rolling Stones, The Who defined Rock and Roll in the 60’s and their music still translates well into the new century. It’s been awhile since The Who toured and the new incarnation of the band promises to make this tour one of the better reunion tours of the year. Starting at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Oct. 21, there are currently only 10 shows booked so get your tickets to The Who while you can.

Concert Tickets for Closing Out 2008

2008 Concert Tickets

The Eagles Tickets you shouldn’t pass up. I saw them many years ago shortly after Hotel California was released. Despite the tensions in the band, they are tight and right with the music. Tons of classic hits sprinkled with new music makes The Eagles tickets tops on my list.

New Kids on the Block Tickets - For a scary look at what you once loved and your parents endured, or a scarier look at what your parents once loved, get New Kids on the Block tickets. Oh, for the good old days when life was simple and millionaire kids danced in rythm.

The Who Tickets – Saw these guys in their prime. Hoping to catch them again on R & R. But my dreams they are as empty as my conscience seems to be.

Jonas Brothers Tickets – Revealed here by the insistence of my daughter, who will perceive me as feeble and old if I don’t include them.

Madonna Tickets – I still remember the days when she was “Like A Virgin”. But middle age has done very well by Madonna, who finishes Eaurope and caps it off by deflowering the East Coast and Canada.

Coldplay, Buffet, REM, and You #$^%$@#$ Lucky Enough to be at Home

While I’m stuck over here in the burning desert sands of Iraq, you folks back in the states are fortunate enough to have a slew of great concert tickets available over the next few months. In my seething envy I’m going to list some of them :

Coldplay Concert Tickets - This stunningly good British foursome are on the road in support of their latest album. the first three were killers and this one doesn’t dissapoint in the least.

Jimmy Buffet Concert Tickets – Parrotheads Unite! Bffet is almost continually on tour and his concerts are some of the best laid back outings you’ll ever find

REM Concert Tickets – Of all the bands I’ve never had the chance to see, REM s the one I regret the most

Kenny Chesney Concert Tickets – I’ve never been a fan of country music but Chesney has something I really like. Also, I have a picture of my girls all dressed up in cowboy hats on their way to a Kenny Chesney concert. It’s one of my favorite pictures in the world.

American Idols Live Concert Tickets – While the whole American Idols thing escapes me, there’s no doubt that my wife and kids will be shanghaing the checkbook for American Idols Live tickets. Can’t deny the love affair between America and these suddenly famous crooners.
