2014 NFL Tickets – AFC Preview – Four to Watch

by on June 18, 2014 updated July 8, 2014

It’s time to start thinking about NFL tickets and we’ve got three teams in the AFC that we believe bear watching for different reasons. Last season it was the Denver Broncos that came out on top. Let’s remember though that this is the NFL and staying on top is more difficult than getting there once. That being said…

Denver Broncos Tickets – Manning showed no sign of weakness last season but when it came to the Super Bowl the Broncos were beaten up and bruised. The rest of the AFC paid attention to that. I would anticipate that Denver reaches the playoffs but will have a harder time doing so in the 2014 NFL season. 11 wins and a playoff berth and then it’s a crap shoot.

Houston Texans Tickets – We’re watching the Houston Texans for a completely different reason. Houston hit bottom in a big way in 2013 and 2014 is a new season. New coaches, new quarterbacks, new defense. It’s going to be interesting to see if this franchise can make any headway given that the Indianapolis Colts seem to have a lock on the AFC South at this point.

Kansas City Chiefs Tickets – The 2013 comeback kids now need to be the 2014 NFL contenders. The turnaround in this franchise was remarkable but do they have staying power? Key games with the Broncos will make the difference as Oakland and San Diego have done nothing to indicate huge leaps in their game.

New England Patriots Tickets - The effervescent AFC East belongs once again to the New England Patriots. However, time is growing short for Tom Brady to win another Super Bowl. It’s not the division that bothers us but the emerging teams in the AFC will no longer be intimidated by the Patriots. Ten years of no Super Bowl wins will do that.
